What we shipped, and when.
Published because we committed to it, and kept honest because a changelog with nothing awkward on it is not worth reading. Dates are the day the work reached production.
How to read this
Meridian ships continuously rather than on a version schedule, so entries are grouped by release date instead of by version number. Each one lists only changes a customer could notice. This page is maintained by hand today; automating it from the release itself is work we have not done yet.
A site of its own, and pricing that matches the product
- NewThe marketing site and the application now run as separate services on separate hostnames, so an application deploy cannot take the public site down, and vice versa.
- NewRebuilt the pricing page on the current model: four editions, unlimited users on every one, a banded invoice meter with a published ceiling, and a calculator that runs your own numbers.
- ImprovedPrices on the site are now read from the same rate module the billing job uses, so the page cannot advertise a rate we do not charge.
- FixedInvoice links sent by email opened a page that could fail to render the invoice. They now serve the document directly.
Authorization hardening
- SecurityWrite operations checked that you were signed in but not that your role permitted the action, so any signed-in member — including a read-only Viewer — could create, edit and delete records. The permission model itself was correct; the routes were not consulting it. Fifty-seven handlers were fixed in this release and the remainder are held by an automated check that only lets the count fall. No customer data was affected: the product had no customers at the time.
- SecurityA shop's original owner can no longer be removed or demoted, so an organization cannot be locked out of its own account.
- NewFleet preventive maintenance, promised times on tickets, and ticket history.
- ImprovedStricter validation on data entering the system.
Pilot readiness for mobile shops
- NewA governed way to reopen a closed ticket, with its own permission and a per-user override editor — so correcting a mistake no longer means working around the system.
- NewCustomer price matrices, including cost-based rules, applied automatically at the counter and on ad-hoc parts.
- NewA per-unit quick-rework picker: prior work, due PMs, deferred work and kits, in one or two taps.
- SecurityPart cost is now hidden from roles that should not see it everywhere it can leave the system, rather than only on the screens where it was obvious.
Customer portal and the documentation site
- NewA secure customer portal with real accounts: work history, work in progress, scheduling, billing and statements, and per-unit access — replacing a single unsecured link.
- NewA QuickBooks Desktop general journal export for firms whose accountant needs one.
- NewDocumentation and training at help.meridianhdx.com.
- ImprovedReworked navigation, and file storage moved to private cloud storage with access control.
Real inventory costing
- NewFIFO cost layers throughout inventory, so cost of goods sold is the cost of the specific parts consumed rather than a running average — and a return comes back on the layer it left.
- NewDOT driver vehicle inspection reports, with your own templates and stored signatures.
- NewDispatch tickets for mobile and on-site work.
